Four County Suicide Prevention Coalition
The mission of the Four County Suicide Prevention Coalition is to increase awareness,
decrease stigma, and increase people’s ability to seek help aimed at suicide prevention.
Depression is a medical condition that can effect a person’s mood, feelings, thought processes, and ability to interact with others.
Between 1,200 and 1,500 individuals in Ohio take their own life each year. However, recovery from depression is very possible, and is achievable.
Survivors After Suicide Support Group
Survivors After Suicide Support Group meets the 1st Thursday of each month. Our purpose is to:
- Acknowledge survivors’ pain in a safe environment.
- Offer encouragement from others who have lost a loved one.
- Teach healthy coping skills.
The Four County L.O.S.S. Team responds to the home where new survivors are gathered. After a completed suicide, a team of 2-3 compassionate and trained volunteers are coordinated to respond to the home.
The goal of the L.O.S.S. team is to help new survivors feel supported from the very beginning of their tragic loss.
The mission of the Four County Suicide Prevention Coalition is to increase awareness, decrease stigma, and increase people’s ability to seek help aimed at suicide prevention.
We are a rural community organization with the goal of reducing the incidence of suicide by increasing awareness, improving access to mental health services, and supporting survivors.
